N900: First Bounce Evolution Game Screenshot Leaked

Friday, 28 November 2014 04:00

bounce_maemoIt's not much, in fact, but Swedish-language mobile portal, has posted what is claimed to be the first screenshot of the Bounce Evolution game, about which we posted the first info and short video demo couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, I guess most of you will agree that only way to test the phone's 3D graphics performance (more about you can read right here) is to run some heavy-duty 3D game using it and at the risk of repeating myself, I must reiterate that that Bounce Evolution is indeed heavy-duty game that undoubtedly show the real power of the build in hardware.

Sure it’s hard to say much based on a single screenshot and the short video demo but I truly believe that Nokia N900 will be able to process this beaut.... .. .

Nokia N97 mini vs N900 camera showdown

Friday, 28 November 2014 04:00

n900_hands_onHello once again dear readers! Before writing any of my major articles, I always try to approach the same problem differently for additional challenge, otherwise – where’s the fun?

The idea behind this particular article was to stress test the imaging capabilities on the two top of the line Nokia smartphones, and a special thanks is in order to the helpful people at WomWorld/Nokia for providing me with a spanking new Nokia N97 mini to pit against the N900 in all it’s glory!

What have you come to expect from a 5 Mpix camera on your high-end smartphone? Perhaps your expectations are set too high, or maybe they are unjustly low? Is pixel count an actual way of navigating through the maze of countless camera equipped phones, or are there any other variables to look o.... .. .

Demo Of Hardware Accelerated Bounce Boing Voyage On Nokia N900 Looks Freakin Awesome

Friday, 28 November 2014 04:00

bounce_maemoI just came across yet another Nokia N900 walkthrough video but what makes it different from all other hands-on previews that appeared since its official release last week is the eye-catching demo of the Bounce Boing Voyage game that reveals beautiful 3D graphic which takes advantage of the build in 3D hardware graphics acceleration!

The rendering quality offered by a hardware accelerated core and the OMAP chipset is obviously a lot better than through software rendering. The addition of high-performance hardware, Filtering Modes, MIPMapping and higher resolution textures massively improve the appearance of objects removing the ugly, pixelated blockiness seen in software rendering games on a new Nokia's N-Gage plat... .. .

Huge User review: The N900 by Mikey

Friday, 28 November 2014 04:00

n900_hands_onOver the last two weeks I have been lucky enough to have the Nokia N900 on loan from WomWorld. This device has seen quite a bit of hype recently so I was really pleased to have the opportunity to see what all the fuss was about, and guess what, it doesn’t disappoint!

Having been something of a Symbian fanatic for the last nine years or so, I was eager to see if this new operating system could satisfy my needs, both in day to day usage and when the mood takes me for a spot of tinkering under the hood.

I’m not going to give you a mile long spec sheet, show you a pile of photos taken by its average camera, or tell you why I think it is better than the iPhone, you can read a million and one reviews that already do that, I’m simply going to te.... .. .
