n900_americaLiterally dozens of news sites and numerous prominent bloggers have picked up on the rumor that world’s largest maker of mobile phones plans to announce a WCDMA 850/1900/2100 MHz variant of its first Linux based device which would support AT&T's 3G network, but apparently it was only the result of a fanboy's mind as company has confirmed today that Nokia N900 won't be coming to the AT&T anytime soon!!

So everybody should now calm down as this is nothing but a rumor caused by anonymous tipster who claimed to have spoken with Nokia spokesman Joseph Gallo about Nokia's hottest smartphone and that he confirmed the existence of AT&T's 3G network friendly (850/1900/2100 MHz) version of the Nokia N900!

Nokia has reacted quickly and strongly insists that story reported by The Nokia Blog and others were untrue, adding that "There have been no announcements regarding a version that supports the 850/1900/2100MHz bands,".

apparently Nokia N900 will remains T-mobile exclusive, at least for now and it seems that Nokia/Linux/Maemo fans might have to leave AT&T and switch over to T-mobile US in order to get the this cute device!
